Boys in the Band   -   The CCF Band circa 1965

Photos supplied by Geoff Stone :   "Here's a picture of the CCF band taken, I estimate, in 1965 at a time when we were enjoying success in a number of local carnivals.    For me, the band was one of the best bits of being in the CCF;    I began as a flautist and went on to be a side drummer.  

My brother Richard had also been Drum Major before he left in 1963.   Glancing at a recent school magazine,  I understand that most of the band is now made up of girls !     Whatever next?     Is nothing sacred !!
I don't know whether you are able to list names for this photo on the site as well, but I have amazed myself by being able to remember nearly all those in the picture.    From left to right, they are :
